Junior Credit Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

The Loan Assistant/Credit Analyst is responsible for administrative lending support to the loan officers, credit analysis, and assisting loan officers with preparing loan presentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

  • Responsible for credit/financial analysis by use of PC software and working with the responsible Loan Officers.
  • Assist with all related loan documentation.
  • Performs analysis on commercial loans.
  • Performs specific tasks as assigned by management. Assist in preparation of loan presentations and other documentation for loan officers and credit department.
  • Act as liaison between borrower, loan officer and loan administration department.
  • Obtains credit reports as needed.
  • Works with loan officers and loan operations staff to assist in clearing loan exceptions
  • Classifies, sorts and files correspondence, articles, records and other documents.
  • Assist with Loan Committee Reports and Board Reports.
  • Perform other duties when assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to learn and use the credit analyst software effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and with indirect supervision.
  • Takes initiative to handle tasks, issues as needed with minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Excellent customer relation and communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in high-pace environment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma required. College degree preferred
  2. Basic understanding and comfort of dealing with financial accounting
  3. Experience writing reports and /or correspondence
  4. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet
  5. Prefer experience with BancPac systems

Consumer Loan Operations Specialist

Job Purpose: 

The Consumer Loan Operations Specialist will assist the Loan Administration department in the processing and servicing of all non-real estate loan types.  The position is also responsible for completing administrative tasks required by the department.

Duties:

  • Prepare loan documents on non- real estate loans.
  • Take and process loan payments.
  • Assist with applicable daily general ledger balancing and reporting.
  • Provide payoff statements and releases of liens.
  • Facilitate the appraisal ordering process when applicable.
  • Assist loan administration department with projects including identifying areas for improvement in efficiency processes and procedures which comply with regulatory changes.
  • Process floorplan transactions and maintain records.
  • Process vehicle titling and UCC searches and liens.
  • Fund & book loans on core system.
  • Charge off loans when necessary.
  • Prepare paid off note report and correspondence.
  • Process draws on revolving lines of credit.
  • Correspond with customers via telephone and email.
  • Process modifications on real estate loans.
  • Process verification of loan documents when necessary.
  • Prepare monthly board reports for Loan Administration department.
  • Correspond with and assist title companies with title requests & survey orders for real estate loan closings when applicable.
  • Assist with technical and collateral exceptions clearing process including the perfection of collateral items, receipt of on-going proof of insurance and property taxes.
  • Responsible for annual escrow analysis, escrow refunds, adjustments and other daily tasks related to escrow.
  • Work with Loan Administration Manager to perform post-closing file review for bank loan portfolio when necessary to ensure documents are complete and accurate according to loan approval.
  • Maintain electronic loan files in document imaging system.
  • Facilitate requirements for builder approvals.
  • Achieve effective results within the limits set forth in policy, procedure and practice, and applicable law and/or regulation.
  • The duties may change from time to time.  Employees are required to perform other duties which may be assigned to them as well as learning and assisting other workstations in the department.

Skills/Qualifications:

  1. 2-4 years’ lending operations experience.
  2. Demonstrated communication skills.
  3. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree is preferred. 

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to effectively interact with management, employees, customers, and others.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a high-paced environment.
