Senior Commercial Lender

Summary:

The Senior Commercial Lending Officer services existing commercial relationships that contribute to the profitability and growth of First-Lockhart National Bank by embracing, promoting, and being accountable for superior customer service.   Servicing will involve the coordination of all financial services offered by organization appropriate to the needs of the relationship.  Some relationships will be significant in size and complexity.  The officer will contribute to profitability and growth of FLNB by expanding client relationships and will continually be looking for opportunities to cross-sell products of the organization to new and existing customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Gather and review required financial data to consider credit worthiness & credit risk necessary to make/recommend financing
  2. Negotiate mutually acceptable financing terms
  3. Coordinate and monitor the credit underwriting and approval process including the presentation of requests(s) with appropriate loan authority person or committee
  4. Attend loan closings to ensure compliance with bank requirements and follow up on outstanding documentation issues
  5. Work with support staff for timely processing of executed documents, letters, reports, etc.
  6. Ensure credit review and risk rating practices are continuous, complete and accurate
  7. Monitor management reports to address line reaffirmations, loan maturities, delinquencies, exceptions, etc. in a timely and efficient manner
  8. Provide annual client relationship reviews to identify additional loan, deposit or other financial service opportunities.
  9. Identify new loan, deposit and other financial service opportunities within existing client base during regular client meetings.
  10. Facilitate prompt, courteous and satisfactory problem resolution.
  11. Take pro-active, appropriate measures to retain loan and deposit balances, when desirable.
  12. Foster a collaborative Team approach to enhance client relationships.
  13. Exemplifies the delivery of the ultimate customer experience.
  14. Performs specific tasks as assigned by management.
  15. Meet with clients regularly to understand their needs and future plans

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
  • Ability and desire to sell products and services. 
  • Ability to recognize referral opportunities and involve other business partners as appropriate. 
  • Understands how individuals behave, learn and are motivated; knowing alternative ways of working with or influencing people. 
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (specifically MS Word, Outlook and Excel)

Essential Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or accounting.
  • Minimum of 10 years commercial lending experience in a community bank.
  • CRE experience required.
  • Management skills.
  • Good communication and customer relation skills.

Full Time Teller

Summary:

Process deposits, transfers, withdrawals and other transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures; must be continuously aware of fraud loss and check cashing guidelines as well as all security and transaction documentation requirements.  Also responsible for the security of assigned cash which must be maintained and balanced within established guidelines.  Assist with selling of bank products to new and existing customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Process all transactions within established policies and procedures to ensure operation excellence.
  2. Balances cash drawer according to bank procedures on a daily basis.
  3. Process cash advance transactions daily.
  4. Close out deposits made with MasterCard/Visa sales daily.
  5. Safeguard cash, confidential customer information, and bank assets.
  6. Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer sales to the appropriate departments.
  7. Cooperate with co-workers to complete assignments in a timely manner as needed.
  8. Process miscellaneous mail-in deposits.
  9. Process night deposit bags under dual control.
  10. Assist in commercial deposits as needed.
  11. Provides excellent customer service to all customers of the bank and assist with printouts, inquiries, check orders, and other directions as needed.
  12. Performs all other job duties as assigned by management.
  13. Abides by First-Lockhart National Bank policies and procedures, including dress code standards, safety guidelines, security procedures, etc.
  14. Attend all mandatory meetings.

Requirements:

  • Requires the ability to read, understand and write the English language.
  • Requires the ability to speak and hear the English language.
  • Requires the ability to perform arithmetical calculations in order to complete customer transactions.
  • Requires the ability to use teller terminal, computers, printers, calculators, currency and coin equipment, fax machine, and copier to perform the job.
  • Requires the ability to be mobile approximately 2 hours per workday.
  • Requires the ability to stand 7 hours per workday.
  • Requires the ability to bend/squat frequently in the scope of performing the job.
  • Requires the ability to transport up to 50lbs of boxed/bagged coins.
  • Requires sufficient visual acuity to perform the job.
  • Requires the ability to use hands frequently for fine manipulation of equipment and materials such as keyboard, paper and currency.
  • Requires the ability to possess mental demands, precisions and accuracy.
  • Requires the ability to possess public relations and communication skills in dealing with Bank customers.

Essential Job Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma.
  2. Related work experience or minimum 1 year cash handling experience.
  3. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
  4. Good communication and customer relations skills.

Relationship Banker

Summary:

The Relationship Banker’s primary goal is to learn all products and services that can be delivered from the new accounts department and formulate a new account manual that allows new accounts department staff to facilitate all types of new account department transactions, help customers by discovering financial needs, helping with problem resolutions, and processing transactions when needed. The Relationship Banker is responsible for performing branch operational activities and financial services, processes all new account transactions, assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services, opening, maintaining and closing of all account types, promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. You will partner with the branch team and specialists (such as Loan Officers, Business Bankers, and Financial Advisors), to ensure our customers get access to experts who can help them with specialized financial needs. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

New Accounts

  • Learn all new account products and services.
  • Develop and maintain a product/service manual to be used by all bankers to ensure consistent account processes.
  • Communicate with all bankers to understand whether current procedures are effective and uncover any inconsistencies.
  • Explaining, promoting and selling all products and services to current and prospective customers.
  • Providing exceptional service that is consistent with or exceeds bank standards of excellence in customer service.
  • Opening, maintaining and closing all types of transactions and deposit accounts.
  • Facilitating the consumer lending process by learning Decision Pro.
  • Resolving customer issues in a timely, consistent and professional manner.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

ACH

  • Review the banks ACH process and recommend changes in policies and procedures.
  • Determine the capabilities of our ACH system and ensure the bank is using it to its full capacity and selling accordingly.
  • Identify staff that is part of the ACH process.
  • Ensure all applicable staff members are knowledgeable of the ACH process.
  • Develop sales material for ACH and assist bankers in presentation as needed.

Cash Management

  • Review the banks cash management product.
  • Determine the capabilities of the cash management product and ensure the bank is using it to its full capacity and selling accordingly.
  • Review competitors cash management and develop comparison to our bank.
  • Investigate cash management alternatives if management decides to change.  
  • Develop sales material for cash management and assist bankers in presentation as needed.

Requirements:

  • College degree preferred or High school degree/GED or foreign equivalent.
  • Cash handling experience, preferred.
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport, be friendly and personable and look for ways to benefit the customer.
  • Excellent customer contact skills; comfortable asking questions/interviewing customers about their financial situation; strong listening skills.
  • Understands how to present features, and benefits of products and services to customers with differing needs.
  • Self-motivated, assertive, performs well in a team environment to service customers.
  • Professional, thorough and organized; able to follow standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Ability to learn products, services and procedures quickly and accurately; explain concepts clearly to customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred.
  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
