Relationship Banker

Summary:

The Relationship Banker’s primary goal is to learn all products and services that can be delivered from the new accounts department and formulate a new account manual that allows new accounts department staff to facilitate all types of new account department transactions, help customers by discovering financial needs, helping with problem resolutions, and processing transactions when needed. The Relationship Banker is responsible for performing branch operational activities and financial services, processes all new account transactions, assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services, opening, maintaining and closing of all account types, promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. You will partner with the branch team and specialists (such as Loan Officers, Business Bankers, and Financial Advisors), to ensure our customers get access to experts who can help them with specialized financial needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

New Accounts

    • Learn all new account products and services.
    • Develop and maintain a product/service manual to be used by all bankers to ensure consistent account processes.
    • Communicate with all bankers to understand whether current procedures are effective and uncover any inconsistencies.
    • Explaining, promoting and selling all products and services to current and prospective customers.
    • Providing exceptional service that is consistent with or exceeds bank standards of excellence in customer service.
    • Opening, maintaining and closing all types of transactions and deposit accounts.
    • Facilitating the consumer lending process by learning Decision Pro.
    • Resolving customer issues in a timely, consistent and professional manner.
    • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

     ACH

    • Review the banks ACH process and recommend changes in policies and procedures.
    • Determine the capabilities of our ACH system and ensure the bank is using it to its full capacity and selling accordingly.
    • Identify staff that is part of the ACH process.
    • Ensure all applicable staff members are knowledgeable of the ACH process.
    • Develop sales material for ACH and assist bankers in presentation as needed.

    Cash Management

    • Review the banks cash management product.
    • Determine the capabilities of the cash management product and ensure the bank is using it to its full capacity and selling accordingly.
    • Review competitors cash management and develop comparison to our bank.
    • Investigate cash management alternatives if management decides to change.
    • Develop sales material for cash management and assist bankers in presentation as needed.

Requirements:

  • College degree preferred or High school degree/GED or foreign equivalent.
  • Cash handling experience, preferred.
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport, be friendly and personable and look for ways to benefit the customer.
  • Excellent customer contact skills; comfortable asking questions/interviewing customers about their financial situation; strong listening skills.
  • Understands how to present features, and benefits of products and services to customers with differing needs.
  • Self-motivated, assertive, performs well in a team environment to service customers.
  • Professional, thorough and organized; able to follow standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Ability to learn products, services and procedures quickly and accurately; explain concepts clearly to customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred.
  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.

Credit Analyst

Summary:

Responsible for credit analysis, assistance of preparation of loan presentations and general credit revisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Loan Committee Reports and Board Reports.
  • Responsible for credit/financial analysis by use of PC software and working with the responsible Loan Officers.
  • Assist with all related loan documentation.
  • Performs analysis on all commercial loans over $250,000.
  • Serve as backup and help to loan administration.
  • Abides by bank policies and procedures, including dress code standards, safety guidelines, security procedures, etc.
  • Performs specific tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Requires the ability to speak and hear the English Language.
  • Requires the ability to perform arithmetical calculations in order to perform the job.

  • Requires the ability to use a fax machine, calculator, adding machine, computer and printer to perform the job.

  • Requires the ability to type 25 to 35 words per minute to perform the job.
  • Requires the ability to posse’s public relations and communication skills in dealing with bank customers, venders and personnel.
  •  Requires the ability to be mobile for extended periods of time throughout the day (approximately 2 hour per workday).
  • Requires the ability to possess mental demands, precision, and accuracy in performing the job.
  • Requires the ability to stand approximately 1 hour per workday.
  • Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time throughout the day (approximately 6 hours per workday).

Full Time Teller

Summary:

Process deposits, transfers, withdrawals and other transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures; must be continuously aware of fraud loss and check cashing guidelines as well as all security and transaction documentation requirements.  Also responsible for the security of assigned cash which must be maintained and balanced within established guidelines.  Assist with selling of bank products to new and existing customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Process all transactions within established policies and procedures to ensure operation excellence.
  2. Balances cash drawer according to bank procedures on a daily basis.
  3. Process cash advance transactions daily.
  4. Close out deposits made with MasterCard/Visa sales daily.
  5. Safeguard cash, confidential customer information, and bank assets.
  6. Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer sales to the appropriate departments.
  7. Cooperate with co-workers to complete assignments in a timely manner as needed.
  8. Process miscellaneous mail-in deposits.
  9. Process night deposit bags under dual control.
  10. Assist in commercial deposits as needed.
  11. Provides excellent customer service to all customers of the bank and assist with printouts, inquiries, check orders, and other directions as needed.
  12. Performs all other job duties as assigned by management.
  13. Abides by First-Lockhart National Bank policies and procedures, including dress code standards, safety guidelines, security procedures, etc.
  14. Attend all mandatory meetings.

Deposit and Loan Support Banker

Summary:

First-Lockhart has an immediate opening for a Deposit and Loan Support Banker at our San Marcos location. We are searching for a professional that has had proven success in past careers, is self-motivated, and has a great attitude. This position would become an integral part of our San Marcos team and will work hand-in-hand with the San Marcos Office executives and numerous bank departments to ensure that customer services and bank products are delivered timely, accurately and professionally.

While the Deposit and Loan Support Banker is primarily responsible for personal interaction with the executive staff and office customers, the position would also be expected to perform a wide variety of administrative functions. This position is responsible for providing office support services in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the San Marcos office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for lending executives.
  • Prepares in-house loan documentation.
  • Facilitates the lending process with customers; documentation, interviewing and closing.
  • Cross-sells all products associated with loan products.

  • Works with loan officers and loan operations staff to assist in clearing loan exceptions.
  • Obtains credit reports as needed.
  • Explains, promotes and sells all products and services to current and prospective customers.
  • Effectively utilizes sales, customer profiling and customer service skills to make significant contributions towards meeting office goals.
  • Answers incoming calls and handles caller’s inquiries whenever possible, directing customers to the correct department/individual as needed.
  • Greets, assists and/or directs customers, visitors, and the general public.
  • Receives, directs and relays telephone messages and fax messages.
  • Responsible for typing correspondence, memos, forms and reports.
  • Notarizes documents as necessary.

  • Minimum one year retail sales or customer service experience - in person or over the phone required, or if college degree, then demonstrated leadership or goal achievement in related school activities or internships.
